My first book grew out of a column I wrote for several years, "Our Children," for
Berkshire HomeStyle magazine. This local publication published over 100 columns on issues in child development, mental health and contemporary culture. I am still considering collecting these columns in a compendium book because I think many of them are still relevant, even 15 years after their initial publication.
I also briefly wrote a blog for
Psychology Today magazine, entitled "Young Americans." In it, I covered the same beat I covered in my
HomeStyle columns. My
